Dolphin Seafaris

Dolphin Watching is one of the most exhilirating experiences that any of us will have in our life time. The dolphin's relationship with man has been documented throughout our history with many civilizations telling stories of how this magnificent creature has come to our aid in times of trouble; protecting us from sharks or even guiding us through dangerous seas. Sadly, most people only ever get to see the dolphin in captivity but Dolphin Seafaris have been providing tourists to the Algarve, the opportunity to see the dolphin in its natural environment, since the year 2000.

We pperate from Marina de Portimao and Marina de Lagos via two touristic RIBS; one of which is the most powerful operating in Europe today. The boats use turbo diesel inboard engines which mean a money back guaranteed "no sea sickness" ride. The RIBS (rigid inflatable boats) are the same as those used by both coast guards and Greenpeace and conform to the highest of safety standards.

In high season, Dolphin Seafaris operate 7 boat trips a day between 8am and 8pm in search of dolphins and other forms of Algarvian sea life such as whales, sharks and even orcas. Each safari lasts around 1 and a half hours and offers a spectacular sea view of the world famous Algarvian coast line as well as the deeper offshore waters where the dolphins are to be found.

The Mountainbike Adventure

Based in Lagos , The Mountain Bike Adventure offers year round holidays and half- or full day trips. We have a fleet of 2005 Specialized mountain bikes and equipment for hire, as well as spares and a mechanic, should you need them!

Why more than just a great ride?
Our guides are qualified mountain bike leaders, who are here to match your ability to the right trail and are on hand to help you with your trail skills if required. We don't just follow a predetermined route every week and nearly all our trails are 100% dirt track riding. We have a comprehensive list of trails that cover every ability from novice to expert. Our trails have been risk assessed and are checked on a regular basis.

You will have the full back up of our support vehicles should you need a rest or have a mechanical failure.

Full Day Trip
Join us for an adventure packed day, enjoy the breathtaking scenery, sunshine and fun!
We will go to a trail that suits you best and ride back to base over the day, meeting the support vehicle at lunch for food, drink and a rest. You will have one of our qualified guides with you at all times to show you the trails. We are all qualified in R.E.C. first aid. We have lots of plasters!

Half Day Trip
You can choose between the morning or afternoon ride. The morning riders meet at base and set off to the trailhead with the rest of the group. You will then be taken back in the support vehicle at lunch.

For the afternoon ride you will be picked up from base at lunchtime and dropped off with the rest of the day group. You will pick up the trail from there and ride back to base.

Slide and Splash

Presently it covers an area of 6.5 hectares and aims to offer ist clients best fun altogether with highest security standards, public health and comfort, respecting the legal decree No. 65/97 of March, 31st and is addition No. 5/97 of March, 31 st, which regulate the activities of water fun parks in Portugal.

Slide & Splash offers 25,000 square meters of lawn where you can have a rest, play games or enjoy sunbathing.

For water fun Slide & Splash offers various types of slides, from very easy ones up to the exciting ones like Kamikaze, torrents, the Black Hole, which is the only one of its kind in Portugal and the prominent attraction for most of our visitors.

We have got a jacuzzi, a pool for children with an area of 1,500 square meters, where kids from 5 to 10 years will find lots of toys.
Apart from that, there is a swimming pool with an area of 1,600 square meters - one of the biggest in the country.

Slide & Splash has two self-service-restaurants at you disposal, furthermore pizzarias, an icecream-parlour and several kiosks where you will be able to find any kind of snack.

Bom Dia Sailing

BOM DIA Actividades Maritima Lda., has been operating from Lagos for the past 20 years using two traditional Portuguese Sailing Ships. The multilingual crews are highly trained and are there to make your trip a happy holiday memory. The use of these two Sailing Ships (equipped with toilets, bar and kitchen), is based on their strength, stability, and environmentally friendly use of wind power (sails).

BBQ Cruise
On this cruise we sail in the Bay of Lagos and continue along the most impressive caves and rock formations. After experiencing this beauty of nature we anchor in a sheltered bay. Here the crew will prepare and serve fresh grilled fish (chicken on pre-order), sald with out secret dressing, potatoes, bread and wine. Don't forget to bring your swimming/snorkel gear because the ocean is inviting you for dip. We show you the famous caves of 'Ponte de Piedade' by smaller boat. When all the dishes are done...by us - we raise the sails again.
Time for you to feel the magic of sailing, relax, sip a cocktail and enjoy the sun, sea and the view.

Lagos - Sagres
Departing in the morning, serving coffee, cake and medronho while we pass along the famous rock formation of Ponte de Piredade. On our course to Sagres we dollow the constantly changing coastline and you will see the Black Rock, Praia da Luz, the fishing villages of Burgau and Salema. After visiting Baleeira (Port of Sagres) we anchor in a sheltered bay. Lunch will be served, prepared by your crew. In the meantime you can relax or swim. With luck we may see dolphins on the sail back to Lagos.

Algarve Wild and Romantic - In convoy we leave the touristy coast in the direction to the unknown.
